Black with a fast escaping khaki head.
Nose is chocolate, dark malts, fruit rinds, molasses.
Taste comprises light roast, booze, chocolate, spice, dates, molasses.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a kiss of alcohol.
Okay sipper if a little boring.

Near clear deep brown beer, good bubbly tan head. Airy palate, mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. The dark malts feel a tad thin for the style but are rich in flavour. Cocoa and fruity rich coffee and light bright spicy rum. Some alcohol spice on the light finish. This works really well. A light feeling and fairly bright ba Impy. Playing with my head a bit but, liking this. A lot.

(Draught at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 27 Feb 2020) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with dark chocolate, coffee, rum and a touch of mint. Malty, roasted taste with notes of dark chocolate, coffee, mint, white rum, oak wood, raisins and a balanced cacao bitterness. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Quite powerful, but well rounded mouthfeel with lots of flavours (chocolate, coffee, rum). Great beer!

Near black with a small tan head. Aroma of rich dark malt, chocolate, lightly boozy rum, roast and caramel. Flavour is light heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Light full bodied with alcohol warmth in the finish and soft carbonation.

Bottle. Black. Soft roast, coconut in the aroma. Malty sweet roasty flavor with rum, cane sugar, floral notes. Alcoholic, seems to have thinned. Nice one, still.
