Bottle from Pub-up-beerstore, Wolvega. The right balance between barrel and beer. Peated whisky aroma with oak, fudge, some chocolate, soy sauce. Flavour is medium sweet, some roasty bitterness, mildly boozy. Long whisky finish. Medium to full body. Very good, great barrel aging, best Uiltje in a long time.

Intensiver, cremig malzig-schokoladiger Beginn. Kaffee, angenehme Süße, hohe Viskosität, Whiskey, etwas ledrig, weich alkoholisch. Vollmundig, komplex, Nuancen von Vanille. Langer Nachgeschmack. Super! 9/12/10/13/11/13

Huge thanks to markoijelena for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass deep black, almost no head. Dry roasty malty aroma. Starts intense woody-malty, roasty, bitter chocolate, black bitter coffee. Finish with mild sweetness. Again loads of chocolate notes, bitter coffee. Impressive!

Bottle shared at the Beau in London tasting, last group tasting for 7 months - who knew, thanks to Danny 11/03/20. Light black with a tan cap that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is chocolate, spice, smoked malts, light medicinal presence, mellow Spey whisper, dried fruits. Taste comprises smoked malts, dark chocolate, burnt toffee, fruit cake, spice, Spey barrel tones, light charring. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. Solid work.

Bottle from markoijelena in the recent EU Swap. Thank you. Aroma is rich and smokey. Dark chocolate. Liquorice. Booze and peat. Dark and glossy. Bubbly tan head pretty much disappears. Sweet edged liquorice, dark fruits and dark chocolate. Develops a roastiness into the finish. The booze and peat from the barrels are always there adding a bite. Some of the sweetness must be influenced by the sherry. Thick bodied. Oily. Flat-average carbonation. Long low key astringent finish. There is some bite to it as mentioned but overall it's a smooth sipper. Thumbs up.

Question de goût.

No BBD, BO 12/2019; Layered & complex aromas of peated whisky, smoke, liquid dark caramel & toasted sugars, fudge, vanilla, prunes, glazed walnuts, soft spicy notes, soft bourbon on the edges, subtle herbs underneath, hints of plum brandy, low umami notes
