Keg at the Bottle Shop - Bermondsey. Pours hazy honey-gold with a dense, creamy white head. Not bad, some simple wheat bread character moderate yeast notes, lemon peel, straw, meringue. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with a little bitter hay, doughy wheat bread, white grape, melon. Fair.

Grisette style ale by No Science in collaboration with Trou du Diable from Canada, bottle shared by tderoeck, thanks Tim! Thick and moussy, eggshell-white, stable, lacing head, hazy straw blonde robe with ochre-ish hue. Aroma of old bread, camomile, wet grass, green banana, withering leek, parsnip puree, pear, some light DMS. Lightly estery onset, some banana peel and apple notes, very fizzy carbonation, soft and fluffy mouthfeel with wheaty soapiness throughout as well as light spelt sourishness; ends grainy and phenolic, drying with a grassy and peppery hop note while the wheat soapiness lingers. Quite full in flavour for only 3% ABV, just too bad for the DMS which bothered me a bit. Don't get the whole grisette idea though, nobody knows what this beer style tasted like anyway more than a century ago, but passable as a low ABV saison or Belgian blonde.

Clear golden colour, white head. Hoppy aroma, malts, saison yeast. Bitter hoppy flavour, yeast, malts. Quite dry. Finish hops, yeast, coriander, cloves. Nice! (from taster @ the 'driemaal is scheepsrecht' tasting, tderoeck's place. Thanks for sharing!!)

Pretty cloudy pale yellow beer, big creamy white foamy head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: yeast, fruity, spicy, wheat, apricots, hint of banana, lots and lots of sulphur. MF: very lively carbon, medium to light body. Taste: pretty funky start, quite a bit of sulphur, bitter touch, slightly sourish, bit of citrus. Aftertaste: bitter, herbal, spicy, dry touch.

Draft @ Moeder Fontainas.
