Als basis hebben we de Brok in de Keel gebruikt waarin we gerookte moutsoorten hebben verwerkt.
Hierdoor krijgt het bier een subtiele rooksmaak en geur.
Door de 10 maanden lange rijpen op Heaven Hill (Bourbon) vaten, krijgt de smaak een andere dimensie. Smaken van Rook, Hout, Bourbon, Vanille en Kokos maken dit bier erg mooi in balans.

Bottle from Lekkerbier, Sint Nicolaasga. Aroma is a bit smoky with bourbon, caramel, oak, some alcohol, dried fruits, touch of vanilla. Moderate to medium sweet, somewhat boozy. Medium to full body. Good stuff.

Bottle at home from Sterk, Amsterdam, 14th February 2021. Pours a ver dark chestnut dark brown. Aroma is booze, vanilla, wood and barrel, some smoke and peat. Taste is smooth, dark malts, booze soaked fruit, wood and barrel, sultanas, light smoke and peat. liquor and a smooth finish. Lovely

Cette Brok in de keel vieillie 10 mois en fut de Heaven Hill brille par sa finesse et sa subtilité avec une belle alliance aromatique bien exploitée et une maturation bien réalisée. La limite est ici l'intensité qui est ici très moyenne mais surtout un final qui aurait mérité meilleur sort. En verre, nous sommes sur un brun (EBC de 65) légèrement voilé et quasiment sans mousse. Pas transcendant. Joli nez sur le whisky, le chêne, le caramel, la noisette, la vanille et les baies rouges. A la fois élégant, complexe et équilibré. On retrouve ce beau cocktail à l'attaque avec de légères épices et un très léger fumé qui se font ressentir. La seconde bouche voit le whisky être un peu plus présent pour devenir plus chaleureux en arrière-bouche mais sans être agressif. L'alcool manque tout de même de nervosité pour 10,5%. L'amertume à 42 d'IBU est parfaitement calibrée quant à elle. Le final court ne permet pas de profiter à sa juste façon de cette bière. Un joli voyage tout en finesse.

Bottle. Dark brown color. Vanilla, soft roast and bourbon in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor, slightly floral, vanilla. Slightly alcoholic. Bourbon, lots of it. Pleasant.

Bottle. Color: Dark copper to ruby, thin beide head. Aroma: Dark and red fruit, boozy Whiskey, vanilla, nuts, smoke. Taste: Interesting combination of dark fruit, dark malt, chocolate, pretty strong smoke, nuts, some vanilla and slightly boozy Whiskey. Moderate to over moderate sweet, moderate bitterness. Pretty thin body, but that's the only downside of this beer. Once again a superbly balanced BA beer from Bronckhorster.
