Summertime is gose-time. Here's an easy drinking example: mildly sour, with a dash of salt coming from the fermented Moroccan lemons we added in the lager tank.

Batch #2 5.1% Huge white dense head over well-carbonated veiled golden beer. Lemon, Moroccan rice or couscous dishes with preserved lemon, cleaning fluid, and grains/kernels. Sweetish, and mineral - lacks acidity for a Gose, but the mineral is present. Again obviously preserved lemons in sugar. Finish, certainly warming up, finally has some discreet lactic acid. Bit sticky, medium carbonation; long-lasting flavours. It's not bad at all, but I can't help thinking that fresh lemons would have served it better, certainly seen the lack of acidity. Txs to Stef!

Bottle from Deconinck. Hazy yellow with a quickly thinning, frothy, white head (slow gusher). Aroma of lemon flesh & peel, lemongrass, lime, wheat, unripe mandarin, kitchen salt, herbs, yellow apple. Taste has sour lemon, lime & mandarin, wheaty & sourdough-like malty body, bit sweet with a pinch of salt. Slightly wheaty finish with lemon & lactic acidity. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Mostly refreshing, not your most complex Gose but the accent's nice. Like the name too.

Sampled multiple times before, I'm quite fond of this one, yet I haven't seem to have rated it before. So… Pours relatively clear blonde, medium big white head, with a very good stability. Scent gives an aroma of lemon, as well as a mineral note by the salt. You could pass this along as white wine, if only for the scent, i'm sure. Taste is full, relatively high carbonation, but it does suit the beer. Lemons, that build up towards the ending, but never overpower. Maltyness is very mild. Recognizable salty touch. Minerally / Salty. Fairly easy drinkability. A very nice summer's beer !

330 ml. bottle. Bottled on 12/05/2019. Gose with Moroccan lemons. Light citrus golden, lively carbonation, very big disappearing slightly milky egg-white head. Nose heavy mineral salty with some soapy lemon peel big time. Higher carbonation. Taste is weird & empty, vaguely metallic empty with strange paper finish, very heavy salt, plastic lemon, peel, weirdly void, strange aftertaste, heavy salt lingering mineral & vague battery finish, lemon, peel, weird, didn’t come together, too salt, empty, slightly appealing but largely unpleasant aftertaste. The unpleasant aftertaste started dominating everything eventually & I had to drainpour it.
