Bomber, 2019 vintage. Molasses aroma with notes of cherry bark, licorice, black pepper, roasted malt, vanilla, sherry and oak. Pours deep brown with half a finger of mocha brown head that has excellent retention and lacing. Starts with roasted malt, molasses, licorice and black pepper flavors as well as having a rich, full body and slick, viscous mouthfeel. Finishes dry but impeccably smooth with cherry bark, vanilla, sherry and oak flavors. Excellent variant with the sherry barrel adding an interesting flavors profile.

2019 bottling. Malt and licorice. Heavy smoke. Like the sugar hit the kettle. Reminds me of Danish porters. Malty. Full bodied. Long. A little hot. 7 4 7 3 12

Bought at Liquor Shed in Casper, bottled September 12th 2019.
It pours pitch black with a finger of tan foam, excellent lacing.
The smell is roasted malt, vanilla, dark chocolate, sherry, fruity as in cherry which suggests the teeny weeny bit of tartness.
The taste is molasses, vanilla, roasted malt, cherry, with a light tartness, and a definite sign of oxidation that comes across to me as a sharpness, especially noticeable in the finish.
Mouthfeel is excellent.
Dang,I should have bought it when it first came out.

The Aromas are lots of molasses, dark malt and some black pepper. Flavors are somewhat similar to nose, adding in some roast, lightly sweet up front and growing bitter in the Finish. Also a hint metallic in there.

Tasting at Salesforce, bottle; 2019 reserve
Black colour with generous brown head. It smells like very old furniture with a hint of incense. Soft mouthfeel, light sweetness, strong character of burnt sugar, charcoal, liquorice, spice. Too much burnt wood in the finish.
Not bad, but I wouldn't llike to drink much of this, excessively unbalanced.

22 oz. bottle, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma is full of intense sherry barrels, lots of wood, bark, and black pepper. Flavour is full of black pepper, intense cedar, followed by dark fruits, molasses, and boozy sherry barrels. Big n brutal, with too much black pepper and cedar than I'm comfortable with. Still, a fun, intriguing beer.

Waxed bomber from Bine & Vine. Pours dark brn/blk with a large, creamy darkish tan head. Aroma of chocolate and very toasty malt followed by a big hit of sherry. Arguably full bodied. Flavor starts with musty oak, then sherry, then very toasty malt, and then some chocolate, finishing with a pleasing level of heat. Smooth sherry continues, with a pleasant taste of musty oak with each quaff. This is quite delicious. The world needs more ancient sherry barrels!
