On tap at Torst, Brooklyn. Just that little extra to put the Speedway Stout over the top. The nose has the regular elements of chocolate, fresh coffee and touch of vanilla, augmented by coriander and a splash of sweet chili. The taste blends all these with discernible notes of coconut, ginger, fennel and a touch of cream. A real treat.

Tap @ Mikkeller bar, Warsaw May 2018. Black body with a small brown head. Aroma has dark roasted malt, coffee, coconut, ginger and lemongrass. Flavor is like the ordinary Speedway, smooth bold, dark roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, god bitterness and warming alcohol but in addition coconut, lemongrass and ginger and this works out great. Fine body and long lasting smooth aftertaste. This is simply the great flavors of Speedway in combination with thai food flavors. Fun and nice.

From tap at BeerTemple, Amsterdam. Aroma is roasted malt, spicy with lemongrass, basil, green peppers, chocolate, mocha, notes of coffee and light coconut. Flavour is sweet with some roasty bitterness. Body is medium to full. Sweet and spicy, nice Thai food touch to this Speedway variety.

From a 750ml bottle on 22/1/2022 (shared by Butz with thanks). Pours a deep brown with a smallish head. Smells strongly of spices - cinnamon, lemongrass, coriander and kaffir lime leaves.tastes quiote sweet with lots of milk choclate followed by all the Thai spice, with a mild chilli finish that suits the beer nicely. The mouthfeel is syrupy the carbonation moderate. This is really good - quite different from the standard Speedway - no discernible roastiness, but the spices make it complex and really interesting. A terrific, unusual impy.

Bottle, 75cl. A black one, topped by a small tan head. The aroma has lots of basil, with roasted malts, coffee and a herbal touch. Ginger and some caramel. It's full-bodied and lightly warming, smooth and lightly carbonated, with lots of sweetness. Not very sticky though. Basil, ginger and something reminiscent of mint in the flavor. Toffee, dark chocolate, coffee and some roasted malts. Lasting finish. A bit herbal this one I think. Nice though, but I prefer the plain coffee Speedways. 220108
