Can. Dark brown pour with a creamy tan head. Strong and robust aroma of roast and cocoa, on the sweeter side. Flavor of roasted and toasted malts, milk chocolate. Sweet, yet robust. Really drinkable. It’s not a world beater, but I’m surprised by the lower score on this one.

12 oz can from Inside the Cellar beer club. Aroma is roasty, wet stone, chalky candy, dark bread. Pours black with a one finger beige head with decent retention; leaves some lace. Taste is roasty with very little sweetness or bitterness; dry. Even though it’s hardly sweet, there’s an appealing chocolate milk element to it. Solid.

Tasting at Matt’s, can
Dark brown color; frothy head. Roasted malt aroma, dark bread. Some caramel flavor, some unexpected acidity, and a bit shallow in the final.

Medium brown. Not much head. Sweet, touch of sugary coffee character. I like the toasty sweet character.
