Ganz ordentliches Porter, hätte durchaus etwas kräftiger sein können. So aber wie beschrieben ein prima Durstlöscher nach dem Wandern.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a nice, thin tan head. Aroma of malt, nuts, earth, a bit of metal and a touch of smoked peat, coupled with some toast and grain. Medium-bodied; Strong roasty flavours with a bit of peat, mushrooms, earth and a dose of sugars show through at first, and ends with a bit of sweetness. Aftertaste shows some metal, malt and toffee with earth and a light hazlenutty finish. Overall, a nice porter that shows on the lighter side, with a dose of sweetness, metal and most strongly - peat. Nice to sample given that i’m not in Oregon! I sampled this sixteen ounce pour on draught at Whole Foods in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia on 17-August-2017 for US$5,00 sampled at the end of my driveway.

Can from Rakuten canned on 3/13/2017 so about 4 months old and served in my Spiegelau Stout glass. Deep cola brown in color with a big beige head that stuck around a respectful amount of time. The aroma is roasty with cocoa powder. To which this medium bodied beauty adds a distinct nuttiness in the flavor. This is a really solid porter though I’d pretty a slightly silkier texture and a touch more body it tastes really nice.

From a can clear dark brown, tan head. Standard medium roast aromas and flavors. Generally fairly light and drinkable. Smooth clean medium roast and dark carmel flavors.
