Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 30C/13B). Bottle 33 cl - Batch L103-2017 (BBF 12.2018). AROMA: medium-high clove aroma, followed by low cinnamon and dried grapes. very faint biscuity malt background. APPEARANCE: medium dark ambar color and hazy. medium moussy light brown head with medium-low retention. lace formation. TASTE: medium clove notes, followed by faint cinammon and toffee-malt background. medium to medium-high bitterness with an excessive drive finish. PALATE: medium body with medium-low carbonation. slight astringency and alcohol warmth. OVERALL: an overly bitter xmas ale, with a bit excessive clove presence.

330 ml. bottle @ Cerveteca Lisboa. Dark brown amber, uneven tanned head. Nose is figs, dark fruit syrup, also bit too much soap. Bit too heavy on hand soap but pleasant sugar, candy, dates, caramel, basic sugar, not bad but soap note is bit to much. Thick dates, caramel, soap body.
