A magical beast with magnetic, endearing, transformative powers, Wizard Wolf was one of our first locked in recipes back when we began bottling, and one of our first beers to receive a custom label. The approach for this ol' faithful pale ale has always been straight-forward -- huge hop aroma, low bitterness, and very easy to drink. More recently we decided to shake things up a bit, and in true Bellwoodsian fashion, throw some experimentation into the mix.

Lately we’ve been releasing a few different variants on the theme of Wizard Wolf, and this particular batch is made with a big focus on Galaxy.

What it smells like, what it tastes like: Pineapple, peach, and melon -- in that order.

Bottles from the brewery. Milky honey gold with a thick head and orange juice like flavor. The medium bodied beer had a fruity orange flavor up front but a somewhat bitter woodsy pine and mint finish. Good but not super complex. I prefer the original. 3.6

Light citrus and not a lot more. Murky orange pour with good head. Bitter finish. Tap at brewpub.

A hazed blonde ale with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity biscuit malt with resinous floral hops, green hops, light mineral notes, light sulfur , pleasant. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity biscuit malt with resinous floral hops, light sulfur, hop pellets, pleasant but too much green hops. On tap at Bar Lupulus.
