Fruited Belgian Tripel. Voodoo Love Child is our unique interpretation of an old-world classic. We take our Belgian Tripel and delicately age it on cherries, raspberries and passion fruit to produce moderately sweet fruit notes on top of our traditional Belgian yeast character.

Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy faint pink-orange-amber color with a medium sized pink-white head. The aroma was dryish, tart and fruity with notes of cherry and berry. The flavor was dryish, tarty and fruity with notes of cherry, berry and definite passionfruity. Throughout the beer was dryish, must and faintly spicy with a meidum length fruit and mustiness. Interesting.

Hazy golden ruby coloured body with bright orange highlights and a very thin tan head - nice looking! When I cracked the lid, the bottle exploded and a bit of foam went everywhere...however, it didn’t bubble up and out. Aroma of passionfruit, cherries, sugar, yeast and more passionfruit - nice! Medium-bodied; Strong acidic fruit flavours up front with wheat, coriander seed and a nice frothy cream flavour at the end. Aftertaste shows the sweetness and fruit of course, but a mild spiciness to the finish as well. Overall, a pretty nice and entertaining fruit beer! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Ramsey Liquors in Ramsey, New Jersey on 19-January-2009, sampled at home in Washington on 10-February-2009.

22oz bottle-pours a rich foamy white head and hazy orange/amber color with floaties. Aroma is artificial syrupy fruit-raspberry/cherry, light malt/wheat, herbal/spice hops, yeast. Taste is metallic, tart, artificial syrupy fruit-raspberry/cherry, light malt/wheat, herbal/spice hops, lots of yeast. Aroma was close but not quite. Taste not even close. Thanks jwc215 for sharing this.

Bomber...A very sediment filled body...light copper in color...the head is light and fluffy...its off-white with a tinge of pink...nose is ripe raspberries, a hint of cherries, and just a light sweet fruit muddle...flavor is like a sweet and sour raspberry...I get some mango essences too which may be the passion fruit (not very familiar with its taste)...Its hard to believe this beer is 9.5%!...only a hint of alcohol comes through on the finish....a good fruit brew, unique....its lively in the mouth, yet is solid and has good complexity...the mid-palate holds a sweet yeasty taste that also shows up in the finish for a quick visit...yum!

Sampled at Dickinsonbeer’s Hoboken gathering - man, this stuff was pretty vile - perhaps it was because I had some really awesome beers this day, but this one stood out as the most terrible - looked at smelled like a raspberry wheat - tasted like cough syrup (the kind they make really sweet and fruity to try to fool children into taking it - but they know better) - just plain bad.

22 oz bottle courtesy of MrBendo, 10th bottle sampled at the 1/28 Houston Tasting. Pour is a cloudy apricot-cheddar cheese [TM] orange. Aroma of dried cranberries and some dusty maltiness. Burnt sugar-cocoa sour. Taste is big sour, crisp fruitiness (pineapple, orange, grapefruit). Bright fruitiness, not too complex but tasty and refreshing.

Drank in the company of brewmaster Matt Allyn. Beautiful aroma, smells like a good wine spritzer. Cloudy rose color. Bubbly thin head with a variety of large and small bubbles. Has some bitter impactbut that fruity taste bud flavor is quite pleasing. There is certainly loads of fruit variety in this brew. Barely any carbonation. Bitter attribute builds thru the session. Not bad for a fruit beer, above average. Could have a few more manners.
