Oak aged Brettanomyces ale with peaches

The path for Sinners and Saints alike was forged in the Garden of Eden. The decision to eat from the tree of knowledge led to the Genesis of Shame. Banished from the Garden for their actions, the rest of us now suffer the fate of their choice. It sucks.

Thankfully, there is no shame lurking in this bottle of beer. In fact, there’s nothing but delicious goodness waiting for you. We’ve blended oak aged beer from one of our foeders, married it with a fresh blond base beer, and kissed the whole thing with peaches [not from Eden’s Garden, mind you] to hopefully deliver us from that hell known as shame.

Bottle - Light fruity funk. Cloudy gold with a very active white head. Fruity sweet notes and a touch of tartness. High carbonation skews to brightness.

Draught at Row 34, 10/13/17.
Lightly hazy, peach-hay-golden with a small, off-white head showing moderate retention.
Leathery, well-macerated peaches, quite homogeneous with the bacteria/yeast add plentiful fruit, acidity, tannin alongside the tart, boisterous bacterial character. Base malts add light honey, quite a bit more than in many of LA's other sours. Hint of band aid, horseblanket and other farm quality show the Brett to be quite prominent, while no alcohol or flaw is noted.
Soft, very malty texture with engaging carbonation and a bit of lightly sharp sourness from acetic and lactic acid up front. Peach skin, pit and tart juice through the middle as Brett evolves strongly towards the finish adding light band aid and barnyard character. Lip-smacking tartness on the very end with no alcohol or flaw. Good attenuation and the fruit character is very well-done, as well.

750 mL bottle poured, or gushed, I should say, courtesy of Matt. Thanks! Fun, but difficult try. The most carbed up beer I've ever tried. And quite a shame, with no pun intended. Cloudy golden pour. Infinite foam head, gushing. Overcast head. I feel like this beer is ruined by the carb. Unfortunate. So much metallic covers all the things in would think I would love about this beer. Barely can detect the peach anymore. Underneath the thick metallic is a boozy peach. I've never been so bummed out about a beer both working out. Please re-bottle this beer. I can almost guarantee that I will love it if bottled in better circumstances.

750 c&c from Bine & Vine. Pour: Monstrous disastrous gusher/foamer. Many towels required. Didn't lose all that much beer though. Keyboard effect remains to be seen. Pour in glass is translucent gold with a huge frothy/foamy head. Brett aroma pervades the area. Peach is detectable within the glass. Med body or so. Lots of carbonation - tho it's not tart/acidic. Rather mellow in effect. The flavor is Brett/peach and something wood. Overall it's a nice flavor. Fairly dry and nicely Bretty. Peach persists. Wood astringency is moderate but pleasant. I'd say this is underrated, but given the explosiveness ... Anyway, I really like it.

Bottle 75 cl. Gusher. Pours an almost clear yellow with a huge, frothy and lacing white head with good retention. Nose has distinct Brett, but the peaches are coming through as well. Medium body, very fizzy in the mouth. Minerally, yeasty, slighty chemical and leathery from the Brett. Dry, lightly tart finish. Smells quite a bit better than it tastes. 280917
