A low bitterness target (for a DIPA) of around 60IBU was aimed for and Citra, Mosaic & Denali hops added to the whirlpool for loads of tropical/citrus flavour. We went heavy on the dry hopping with lots more Citra and Mosaic as well as some Simcoe, Amarillo & HBC 438. The finished beer has a really punchy aroma as well as a super juicy fruit like flavour and soft mouthfeel.

50 cl can @ Timo A, BBE 02.11.2017
Aroma has grapefruity tones and tropical fruits. Flavour has grapefruit, minerals, floral tones, some pineapple juice and menthol notes. Decent Vermont IPA.

On tap at Patrick’s. An unclear orange colored beer with a dense off-white head. Citrusy aroma, orange and some grapefruit, and a sugary maltyness. It’s full bodied, lightly warming and smoothly carbonated, with a good bitterness. Lightly sweet pale malts and lots of orange and grapefruit in the flavor, which lasts for a good while. Dangerously easy drinkable and almost quenching. 170611

8th June 2017: 500ml can at home with myself, BBD 2nd Nov 2017. Murky orange skin colour, white covering on top. Oranges, mango and apricots in the aroma and taste: this is a tropical fruit cocktail with plenty of alcohol behind the scenes. Did I mention peaches? Well, add them to the fruit selection please. I might have taken this too early because I am supposed to be staying awake for the General Election results.

Hops: HBC 438 and Denali T90 pellets. Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe and Amarillo cryo hops. Very hazy gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and mildly dry. A fine minerally crispness. Mild to medium hop spice runs throughout. Spicy orange and fresh orange. Light tropical fruits. Developing citric peel bitterness. Very mild pine and mango. Finished fruity tangy bitter. Spicy linger. Nice.
