A kettle sour: if you haven't had this beer, then yes, it really does taste like tzatziki. Cucumbers, yoghurt, mint, ouzo (no garlic, that would be weird). Delicious and strange

05-06-18 // bottle from Honestbrew. Hauy yellow. White lacy. Gurkenwasset with old herbs in the nose. Taste is soft sour. Minimal funk. Some cucumber, mild minty in the end. Interesting, nice summer refresher.

Cloudy yellow and just a little foam. I smell Spearmint bubble gum, go figure. Smell again and yeah, that's mint. So there it is, not something normally found on a sour. Flavour is some heavy vegetable, cabbage, kale and a sour citrus end. Odd pile of vegetable things going on. Medium finish. I highly doubt I would to drink this again.

Bottle at Gollem, thanks Johan for sharing. Thin, egg-white, open head over a hazy golden beer with vague greenish tinge. Unusual but attractive aroma of explicit cucumber, yoghurt, jasmin tea, peppermint leaves, chalk, lime juice, mojito without the alcohol, sourdough. Fresh, crisp onset, sour in a straightforward, refreshing, lime juice-like way as usual for a Berliner Weisse, hint of green apple, clear cucumber, fizzy carb, supple mouthfeel. White bread- and soapy wheat-like maltiness, slick, with ongoing drying lactic sourness; very aromatic, fragrant finish, green tea, peppermint, exotic flowers, cold mint tea effect, low in hoppiness as expected. Gimmicky, rather weird hipster beer, but fun enough.

Keg at the Kean's Head, Nottingham. Lemon yellow, cloudy with a small ring of white head. Scent is strongly of cucumber, although I get the sourness of the yoghurt as well. Not quite so much of the mint. Glorious tartness in the taste, with strong cucumber overtones. Savoury sourness in the finish, with more cucumber in the aftertaste. Full body for the ABV. Heavily carbonated. Pleasant and ingenious.

Bottle. Appearance - watery yellow. Big lively head which needs several repours. This results in a few yeasty chunks. Nose - cucumber and yeast predominates. Got mint too because I looked for it. Taste - mint more visible but this mostly tastes like some sort of natural yoghurt with cucumber - tzatziki I guess, so job done. Palate - light bodied, tangy and creamy. Tangy finish, but not too sour. Overall - good and got better down the glass.
