can. Clear copper pour, small beige head. Very earthy aroma, grassy hops, zero citrus, touches of pine. Super earthy malts. The mouth feel is nice, and the carb is just fine. The finish is medium bitter, and ends with a biscuit, cereal, caramel malts, and more of these incredibly earthy hops. This reminds me of what Mill Street Tankhouse tastes like now. Calling this an IPA is a joke. Maybe i have an old can? There is no way of knowing the can has no date anywhere. this is at the most an amber ale. Its not horrible, just unbelievably earthy.....not what i was expecting.

Can. A rousse looking beer with a fruity & malty caramel Aroma. Medium to light bodied with a clean semi-dry finish. Definitely more malt forward than US style IPAs, it delivers biscuit, light caramel, citrus and pine.

Où, Quand, Comment : Canette 473ml, dégustée le 1/18/2014.

Can from Depanneur Chez Ben. Clear deep copper with a huge off white head that fades slowly and leaves great lace all the way down. Nose is mostly caramel with some light pine and citrus and lighter floral hints. Medium light toffee sweetness with a similar level of bitterness. Medium slick mouth with average carbonation. More of an English IPA in character without the citrus punch of an American IPA despite being called an American I.P.A. on the label.

6/3/7/4/13=3.3/5.0

Can from a Metro store in St-Jerome, QC. Pours a clear amber colour with a big frothy-foamy warm light-beige head that lasts long and offers soapy lacing. Malty nose with caramel notes. The hops seems like some of the chemical grassy ones found in macro brews. The taste is better, with some decent hops of grass over the caramel malts. Some fruitiness lingers. Then, grass and grain. Nothing real bad, but nothing too crazy. Would not have again with all the better average IPAs out there.

Explodes upon opening, but fades fairly quickly. Deep copper and light brown coloured body with a thinnish, single centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of caramel, grain and very light hops - not much there. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and very herbal spicey hops showing with some noticeable alcohol, a touch of herbs and hop bitterness and even a bitter dark alcohol flavour as well. Aftertaste is fairly one-dimensional with the alcohol, spicey malt and deep pungent hop bitterness coming through - with no real respite. Overall, an interesting IPA with more of an English twist, but deep, pungent and strong means its not too enjoyable. I sampled this 473 mL can purchased from Marche Des Sauveurs in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on 20-September-2014 for US$2,99 sampled at home in Washington on 24-November-2014.

Can: Poured a clear copper color ale with a nice tan color head with good retention with some good lacing. Aroma of dry hoppy notes with light dry caramel malt notes. Taste is also dominated by some dry hoppy caramel malt notes with light bitter ness at the end. Body is about average with good carbonation. Enjoyable and easily drinkable with good English-style hops presence.

Canette 473ml.

A reddish copper ipa with a thin off white head. In aroma, light biscuit malt with grassy hops, OK but lacking floral or British hopping. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt, crisp and smooth, with faint grassy hops, boring, was expecting more from this good brewer. On tap at St Bock.
