(hiver 2006-07)

Opalescent red amber ale with a resilinet lacing moka head. Malty aroma reminiscent of brewing day with nice nutty notes and cocoa. Very nice rich malt with good hops in finish, a bit sweet and roasted caramel. Rich bodied.

A hazy red beer with a small beige head. The aroma is very permumated and flowery. The flavor is perfumated flowery combined with notes of berries and a dry toffee end.

On draught at the brewpub, 6/3/2005 with the Kuhnhenns, tiggmtl and Muzzlehatch. Deep orange, copper-amber collor, with a off-white head that recedes to cover. Large amounts of lacing traverse the sides. Flowery to the nose, with cherry and apple blossoms, bits of sweet toffee. Begins spicy for flavor, with hazelnuts, caramel, cherries and some sort of dry spice, perhaps just the yeast or hops? Moderately sweet overall, with a medium body. No alcohol noted and the mouthfeel is soft, tingly and substantial; couldnt ask for more there. Finishes with some clove, bitter orange, bits of wood and earth. Quebecois rousse beers dont have to be boring!
