A collaborative effort from Brewmasters Joel Johnson of 1010 North and Derek Smith of Moylan's, Just a Sec Brut IPA is brewed with Pilsner Malt, Canadian 2 Row, Canadian White Wheat, Flaked Corn, and a handful of Caramalt. While not quite bone dry, the malty sweetness is complemented with Hallertau Blanc and Kohatu hops in the whirlpool. Copious amounts of Hallertau Blanc, Kohatu, and Wakatu dry hops give off aromas of gooseberries, lime Skittles, and fresh cut hay.

Very crisp yellow, golden coloured body with a thinnish pure white head that stays afloat for a long time and is a touch soapy. Aroma of very distinct dry notes with a little bit of flowers, some grass, a good hit of herbal hops and a touch of the alcohol noticeable here as well. Medium-bodied; Crisp citrusey flavours at first that show the hops and a mellow sweetness, but a light floral and grassy note shows towards the end with a light bitterness and a touch of pine. Aftertaste shows the grassy and very citrusey notes front and centre with a large dose of alpha acids and skome bitterness from the hops near the end, but this is quite easy-drinking. Overall, a dry and relatively soft and easy-going beer that shows some nice hop and citrus components without being too pungent throughout I sampled this sixteen ounce pint-sized can, purchased from Krisp Market BestDamnBeerShop) in San Diego, California on 25-February-2020 for US$3,49 sampled as I walked back to the airport on 25-February-2020 here in the warmth of a Southern California Winter.

Can sourced from Meny Valby and drunk at home - pours a light hazy golden colour. Starts medium sweet with some fruity notes of grapefruit and lemon, gooseberry, sweet malty support, then a bitter and drying edge into the hoppy close. Pretty decent for a brut ipa.

Can from Bine & Vine. Pours translucent brassy gold with a foamy white head. Aroma of grapes and pale stone fruit. Med body plus a little. Carbonation is impressive. Flavor of something like kiwi mixed with lime. Pretty dry. Then it gets sort of white berry/grape. Moderately hoppy. Moderately plus bitter. Dry/bitter/berry/fruity. It may be complex. Is for me. Really nice IMHO.
