330ml Bottle - Roasted, malty and slightly soapy aroma. Roasted malt, chocolate, berries and some biscuity notes in the taste. The Simcoe notes are pretty subdued, but then this bottle is almost 4 months past the best before date so not much of a surprise.

Bottle @ Højbjerg tasting 27 July. Pours slightly hazy very dark brown with airy beige head. Clear aroma of roast, hops, malt and yeast, with notes of grass. Bitter, roasty and citric flavour of hops, with notes of yeast and mild touches malt. Bitter, roasty and grassy aftertaste. Not bad.

Bottle direct from the brewery consumed at home Friday 2nd March 2018 during the second day of the meet up of 'The Beast from the East' and 'Storm Emma'. Cooking the Ultimate Chicken Shawarma, Cumnock Fried Padron Peppers and and Polenta Chips from Feast book. Pours dark, dark brown with a slim beige head. Steady nice roast malt but backed up with a good hoppy bite from the Simcoe, this is a lovely beer. Soft carbonation, very good bittersweet balance, this could be close to a BIPA, really like this.
