On tap at Sørlandet Matfestival. It's an unclear brown colored beer with a dense, finger-thick beige head. Nice lacing. The aroma is quite roasted, with some burnt malts and dark chocolate. Pine cones, dark dried fruits too. It's full-bodied, quite dry and with a nice carbonation level. Nice bitterness. The flavor too is on the roasted side, tending towards burnt, with a good dash of brown sugar, dark dried fruit and dark chocolate. Some grassy hints showing up in the very end. A bit too dry this one, bringing it out of balance, but there's lots of good things going on anyway. 190712

Well stored bottle. Clear, deep amber body under a small beige head. Nice aroma of rich malt, dry fruit, brown sugar and a bit vinous. Taste is sweet malt, with lots of dry fruit, mild toffee, vinous and decent bitterness. Fine body and long lasting, strong aftertaste with lots of raisins and ripe plum. A solid, tasty and well balanced beer that has improved a lot during cellaring.

Danke an gunnar, Secret Summer Santa 17. Süßlicher, leicht rauchiger Antrunk. Die Süße bleibt angenehm mild, feine Karbonisierung, wenig nach vergorenen Früchten unbekannter Herkunft. Spritzig, langer, mild alkoholischer Nachgeschmack. 10/9/11/10/8/9

0.33l bottle. This one pours a deep and dark looking body. Near cola in color and with a minimum amount of dark filmy head on the top. What's there is however clinging nicely to the sides of the glass. Mild nose initially. The bottle is somewhat cold though, so I'll give it some time. After some time it's more like I thought it would be. Sweet, lots of dark liquid candied sugar, a rush or raisins - the quite so sweet kind. Reminds me a lot on the aroma of a quad try I once did - that didn't really work out all that great. However, it smells decent. It tastes kinda flat at first. Dryish, but still quite sweet. Dark candied sugar, more of those really present raisins. It has a mild oily texture in the mouth and it's below average on the carbonation. Can't decide if I like it or if I kinda don't. Not sure what the conclusion on this one is, but it's definitely a drinkable alcoholic raisin-juice beverage thingy. 21.04.2017

Taste is slightly sweet and harsh mineraly, burnt sugar, weeds, minerals, ashes, paper, alcohol, bark, burnt grain, raisins, burnt coffee, almond essence. Medium bitterness, harsh burnt mouthfeel.
