Spitfire Amber Ale combines the pick of Kentish hops to layer bitter orange marmalade flavour on top of sweet biscuits and caramel malts for a peppery dry finish. Klar gyllen brun med hvitt skum. Lukter malt, karamell og litt røyk. Mild maltpreget i smak. Noe røk i smaken også.

Bottle from Aldi. Surpisingly haven’t drunk this since before my records began (2013). Has a nice (though not overwhelming) nose of hops and marmalade. Pours a bright copper orange with a foamy transient cream head. Lots of honey and ginger in the taste – there’s malt as well if your tongue can find it ! A dry bitter finish to round things off. Not the world’s most exciting beer, but perfect for my mood at the moent.
