On tap at Nærbø Ølfestival 2013. A lightly unclear, golden beer topped by a minimal sized off-white head. The aroma is fruity, with some pine cones and citrus. A faint, pleasant smoke and some tropical fruits too. The flavor has the same subtle smoke touch, with fruityness like citrus, tropical fruits and bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Bitter, fruity and lightly smoked finish. Unusual in a way this one, but sure nice. 131231

Sample at Nærbø Ølfestival. Golden colour with a white head. Aroma is smoked, flower, fruit, hop, malt. Flavour is smoked, flower, fruit, citrus, hop, malt. Medium body. OK beer.

On tap @ Ujevnt. A near-clear golden colored little thing this with a small quickly sidesticking and islandy just off-white top. Lovely smoked nose. Have to admit that I'm not really a big fan of these smoked noses unless it's combined with a heavy imperial stout or similar, but this is quite nice. Light beefy bacon and smoke house. It has a near flat carbonation level in a light oily mouthfeel. The taste is more classic smoked. Smoked salmon, wet grass, ham and a soft yeasty fruitiness. It's actually not that bad this. Don't feel a instant urge to get another one, but you'll never know... 20.07.2013

On tap @ Voss bryggeri, with VANØ Bergen. Batch 2. Pours golden orange with a massive creamy head. Aroma is sweet malts with grain, barnyard and a bit of smoke somewhere in the back. Medium body with soft carbonation. Flavour is sweet with smoked malts and grain.

Sampled at Nærbø Ølfestival 2013. Clear golden body with a medium sized white head. Mild but nice aroma of fruity hops with a hint of smoke. Flavor is pale malt, some smoked meat, light citric fruit and medium bitterness. Medium body and moderate in aftertaste. A nice, refreshing light smoked beer.

Gulbrun farge med skum som ligger godt. Røkt kjøtt litt besk lukt. Røksmaken kommer tydelig i starten, så litt mer fruktig før røksmaken overtar igjen.

Small creamy longlasting head. Aroma is shed, cheese, hay, smoked ham, grass, caramel, light malts. Taste is smoked cheese and ham, shed, hay, light malts, grass, chalk, weeds. Medium bitterness, slightly dry mouthfeel. Fair enough.

On tap at Henrik, Bergen. Has a clear orange colour with a off-white medium head. Smoked aroma with some wood, leather and sour heather. The taste follows up with nice smoke, and is more sweet. Has a slick mouth feel, and a light bitterness. A nice and round smoked ale, and is pretty easy-drinking.

On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of smoked malts, bonfires, smoked meat and fish. Lagerish mouthfeel, light bodied. Distinct smokey notes in the flavour too, but the smoke does not dominate completely. Very moderate hops, a little more would not hurt.

On tap at Parkteatret. Deep golden with a small, white head. Mild smoky and hoppy aroma with tropical fruits and hints of caramel, citrus and spices. Lovely combination and the smoky notes are sublte and well integrated. Medium body with fairly average carbonation. Moderate sweet with nice fruity flavours and a pleasant bitterness in the finish. Tasty, refreshing and very well balanced. Excellent summer beer.
