A 0.75l corked bottle from a local supermarket in Monfalcone. It pours a light cloudy honey-orange colored body with a small islandy off-white top. Quite delicate on the nose actually. I get lots of ripe fruits, it has a Belgian yeasty touch to it, lots of caramelized bright sweetness, some white sugar and some raw alcohol. Smells decent, not to complex but more straight forward. The alcohol is present in the taste, but not as much as I thought. It has a nice average+ carbonation level and a good oily mouthfeel. A bit sharp perhaps, I get more of that Belgian yeasty flavor. Old green apple zest and apple cores with a light mouthdry finish and a warming boozy aftertaste. It held up pretty nice this one, but I wouldn't mind sharing the bottle. 20.05.2013
