Bottle thanks to Rob. Appearance - golden with a decent head and a slight haze. Nose - weird combination of banana and peat smoke. Taste - more smoke and some orange and banana. But smoke is massively dominant. Definitely chestnut in there if you look for it. Palate - creamy, tangy and smoky. Overall - good if a bit single dimensional with the smoke.

Bottle shared with Ashton McCobb. Not a gusher as such, but nearly! Hazy yellow gold with a bubbly white head. Definitely get chestnuts on the nose, but also some lemon and smoke. Taste is smoky for sure. The smoke dominates the taste. Lingers, but nicely.

Tap@Il Locale, Copenhagen (03/12/2016) - golden amber pour with white head. Sweet malty and fruity, some caramel sweetness, nice nutty nuances, light smoke notes into the finish.

330 ml bottle, as Birradamare ’na Biretta de Castagne, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 5.8%. BB date 07.2013. Pours fizzy with a low white head. Deep golden to amber colour with floaties. Unfresh aroma of chestnuts and smoke. The medium dry flavour has notes of smoked meat and nuts, hardly any noticeable hops. Might have been somewhat better as fresh, but I doubt that it would be worth the money under any circumstance.

Bottle at home. Has a golden amber colour with a off-white creamy medium head. Sweet and smokey aroma with sweet malt, some fruit and rye bread. The flavour falls a bit through and is more faint than expected. Still some smoke and sweet malt but thats it. The mouth feel is though smooth and round, and has a very light bitterness. The aroma was nice but the flavour did disappoint. This must be one of the most easy-drinking smoked beers.

Flaske 0,33l spandert av Rune og delt under rateseanse hos ham 20 Sep 12. LOT 367. Gylden. Litt uklar. Middels høyt tett skum. God krydderaroma med innslag av tre. Minner om eik men er nok kastanje. Søt treaktig smak. Sevje. Uvanlig øl men ikke dumt. Pluss for flaskedesignet.

0.33l bottle from #367. This is a light blurry golden-honey colored one totally packed with small particles floating about in the glass and a medium sized heavy lacing off-white top. On the nose I get some ripe fruits - the sweet kind. It's softly smoky as well with some ham and sausage. It's average to lively on the carbonation and it has a fizzing oily mouthfeel. Clear thin fruity flavor, more soft smoke, straws and tones of sausage and mint. Wet old grass and leafs in the finish. A bit on the sweet side, but interesting. Not completely mine thang though, but no off-flavors what so ever. 19.10.2012

330ml bottle, lotto 367, from Vinmonopolet Valkendorf, Bergen. Shared at a rating session with Finn. Unclear golden coloured body. Diminishing white head. Dotted spots to the glassware. Dry fruity smell with a touch of bacon beneath. The taste profile is rather complex with smoked malts, nuts, wood and some hints of tannin. Malt-fruity ending. Unusual and quite tasty (Tromsø, 20.09.2012).
