On tap at the brewpub. A murky brown beer with a finger thick off-white head. Maltyness, caramel and some peaty notes on the nose. Sweet flavor with caramel, roasted malts, peat hints and a refreshing touch of fruityness. Full body. A bit short finish. A decent beer, but not impressing. 111014

On tap @ Schouskjelleren RBNAG-11. Slightly hazy reddish amber body with a small white head. Mild caramel malty aroma. Flavor is light caramel malt with hint of fruit, moderate bitterness. Medium body. Drinkable, but a bit boring, just above average all the way.

Prøveglass på bryggeripuben Okt 11. Svart. Veldig lavt mokkafarget skum. God kaffearoma. Smaken har en undertone av medisin. Huskarakter? Litt sjokolade anes i smaken. På det jevne.

On tap at Schouskjelleren. ABV was said to be 5.5%. Mahogany colour, creamy beige head. Very malty aroma and flavour, strong notes of caramel and toffee, hints of over-ripe berries, a whiff of malt vinegar. The finish has something undefined "not quite perfect" about it.

Tap @ Schoukjelleren, Oslo. This is a light clouded light brown beer with a nice creamy and lasting lacing off-white head. The aroma is mild, lightly sweet and malty with tones of dark malts and cocoa. Not bad, but a bit anonymous. Average to soft carbonation level and it has medium oily to slick mouthfeel. Flavors are nice and lightly sweet with earthy- and roasted chocolate hints mixed with some fruit. Not bad.

Draught, taster at the brewpub. Deep mahogany coloured body, more or less naked on the surface. Aromatic to the nose with slightly roasted malts. The taste profile is dominated by earthy, sweet malts and a touch of star anise. Offset by a dark hoppy ending. Well balanced. Tasty brew (Oslo, 26.09.2011).
