Taster at brewery. Not sure what this trying to be. Cloudy golden, skin of white head. Malty, bready aroma. Taste is sweet, grainy, malty, zippy. Shrug

Keg at Queen City, Burlington. Lightly hazy deep golden, small head. Fruity nose with hay and notes of paper - a perfect copy of Fuller’s London Pride. Mid dry with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Honey and grains, lightly piny with resiny bitterish finish.

This was poured into an English pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy burnt orange color with a nice transparency about it. Carbonation could be seen rising at a moderate pace to fill a rapidly dissipating white head. Light stringy lacing.
The smell had some light sweet bready malts with a crisp nutty character running into it and then a slight sweet grassy hops slyly moving in for the balance. Sweet fruitiness as well.
The taste was basically the same moving very sweet and smooth into the aftertaste. Smooth nutty finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a great sessionability about it. Carbonation seemed to run light allowing enough to make a wonderful food beer.
Overall, hot damn, what a nice ESB, and made by an American brewer. Fans of the style should be seeking this one. Now pass me the fish n’chips.

Tap at Queen City Brewery, Burlington. Colour is clear orange with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Some fruits, dryness, some bitterness and malts. Clear and decent but easy. Well at least this one is really E.S.B unlike most of the american E.S.B:s.

Tap. Pours crystal clear golden, large white head, creamy with nice lacing. Aroma is grass, honey, bread. Flavor is a bit odd, light sweet, light plus bitter, perhaps a bit herbal, perfume. Light body, building lingering bitterness gets a bit harsh.

A golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with spoiled apple juice, bad. In mouth, a biscuit malt with loads of phenolic, light band aid... Guys, remove this one. On tap at brewery.

Sample at the Brewery. Pours a clear bright golden with a thin head. Aroma is butterscotch and lots of fruity esters, toffee malts, sweet caramel, and some fruity after tastes. Flavor is very sweet fruity esters, toffee biscuit, slick syrupy mouthfeel.

This brand new brewery does classic styles real well. All pretty much above average. I hope to see some more creative and experimental brews in the near future.

dark orange, minimal head. Nose is bitter with caramel ginger cookie and bitter orange peel. Taste is oily, light sweetness, a lot of bitterness and a slight cookie. Maybe too sweet for me but bitterness is spot on.
