Tap at Harpoon. Gold with a thin head. Noce citrus hop aroma and citrus hops in the flavor. Malt takes a back seat so I am surprised to see this classified as an American Pale Ale. Bitter hop aftertaste.

22 oz. bottle purchased @ Market Basket for $5.00. Nearly clear orange in color with lasting soapy white head. Aroma of citrus, mild citrus peel and tropical fruits.

Flavor is pale malt and light caramel balancing the tropical fruit and grapefruit notes. The grapefruit peel gives mild bitterness and it only lingers for a split second. I’m picky about my IPA’s and normally only get them on draft but since I knew this didn’t travel far, I grabbed it. It does have a juicy fruit texture that is refreshing with a clean finish. Decent.

Location: 22 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 5/20/14

Aroma: It has some grapefruit rind, and fairly light otherwise, with some other citrus/tropical notes
Appearance: Pours a mostly clear bright orange color with a small white head and spotty lace
Flavor: Bitter grapefruit rind up-front, as it gets toward the end palate the taste thins out quite a bit
Palate: The body is fairly light, with a crisp, clean feel, average carbonation, and a short, dry finish
Overall Impression: This is a pretty interesting beer. I'm getting much more of an APA feel here than an IPA feel for whatever that is worth. The grapefruit rind was the dominant component for me. It is strong in both the nose and flavor. I was surprised how quickly it thinned out too. I feel like I have a lot of thoughts, but I'm not even sure what they are. This is one had a ton of potential, and turns out reasonably well, but it just doesn't quite get there.

Pours deep gold into a shaker. White head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Tropical and grapefruit aromas. Soft with sweet caramel and passionfruit upfront turning to grapefruit in the medium length finish.

Bottle. Dark golden, low carbonation, offwhite lace. Citric, light grassy nose, light spongy. Light hayish malt overlaid by the hops, medium light mellow mouthfeel. Nice
