Location: Draft at Pony Bad, 2/22/14
Aroma: The aroma is roasted malts and burnt malts, spice, chocolate, and some booze
Appearance: It pours a dark brown-black color, with a small-to-average brown head and lace
Flavor: The taste is much the same, roasted and burnt malts, spice, and a little sweetness
Palate: The body is medium-full, it has a somewhat creamy feel, and a bit of an ABV burn too
Overall Impression: I found this one to be a pretty solid Imperial Stout. This is certainly a beer that is worth trying. Interesting stuff. Give this one a shot.

Sample at Ginger Man NYC. Brownish-black pour with a medium foamy beige head that diminishes gradually. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. Medium to full body with a roasty character of malt and coffee, along with some dark chocolate. The finish is espresso and malt. Pretty good overall.

On tap @ Blind Tiger, New York. Pours black with a creamy finger thick mocha head. Aroma is nice and malty with raisins, prunes and tobacco, as well as leather, vanilla and bourbon. Full creamy body with almost no carbonation at all. Flavour is sweet with malts and tobacco, but not quite up to the promising aroma. Still nice though.

A deep dark stout with a very thin brown head. In aroma, a smooth sweet chocolate milk with light vanilla notes, light molasses. In mouth, a smooth sweet chocolate with light coffee bitterness, grassy, a tad light bodied in mouth, but well done. On tap at R&H, June 30, 2012.

Tap at The Pony Bar, NYC. Pours a dark, shiny brown with a small, tan head. Roasty cocoa in the nose. Medium to big sweetness in the flavor, great dry roast malt notes, chocolate, subtle earth and tar, some burnt wood. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Mild warmth in the finish, lingering burnt sugar and roast. Really great stuff.
