09/11/2018 - 33cl bottle from Prik & Tik Edelare. Clear dark yellow, lively carbonation, medium soapy white head. Nose is malts and bitterish spices. Taste stars sweet malty than, spices take over, way too much, bit burning along with the bit too much carbonation hard to chew.

Huge, dense, white and very stable head over hazy, lively carbonated ochre-ish golden beer. Coriander. And the rest is hist... OK, fake citrus, bit pale malts. Coriander. Finish is a bit peppery. Citrus (as in f...), bit toasted. Slick, even a bit viscous despite good carbonation. Why, O why? 5/4/5/3/11

Bottle from LDW, Eke. Hazy amber/yellow colour, white foam. Sweet nose of peach, stone fruit, some banana. Taste is sweet, yeasty, hard to drink.

Old-fashioned Belgian ’streekbier’ with moussy, snow white, lacing head and hazy golden blonde robe with olive greenish hue. Aroma of unripe banana, spring onion, apple sauce, bread crumbs, pear and some unpleasant DMS (cooked green cabbage). Estery onset, banana, tad bubblegummy even, pear and apple notes, softish carbonation, bit fluffy mouthfeel; lightly bready and cereally middle, banana sweetishness lingering, bit earthy, grassy, softly bittering hops but not nearly enough to my personal taste. Another bland, boring (even though explicitly not intended as such) and completely redundant Belgian ’terrasjesblondje’.

Thank you for sharing RB Crew! Sampled 330 ml. bottle @ GBF 2017. Orange golden, creamy white head. Dull soap, chemical, sugar, overly sweet glue. Taste is soap, sugar, chemical rubbish, glue, sweet. Body is chemical, sugar, glue. Not a fan.

Pours rather clear, yellowblonde. Medium sized head, fades rather fast. Smell is citrussy, mild malt (crisp, corny ) underneath. Taste is medium bitter. very much yeast, but not overly esther-intense. Crispy, corny malts. Citrussy notes from the hops ( a generous, but balanced amount ) . A decent body and carbo. Everything a Belgian ale can be, without going to extremes in any way. I can agree with the text ( that sounded awefull to me, actually ) this is mediocer, but not bland. not too much carbo or esthers for instance, no clear sugaryness. I do get a mild dry/metallic backnote ( metallic isn’t really the word, but it is the best fitting description I can give ) presumably a bit stressed yeast ? however this is a very mild background note and it won’t disturb most people.
