Sanderijn is a strong Saison beer (7.5% Alc. vol), made with a Saison-yeast and dry-hopped with Mosaic, Citra, Galaxy and Melon Huell. We found that these hops pair well with the aromas from the Saison-yeast.
Sanderijn is a key character in a medieval Middle Dutch drama, with a story similar to Romeo and Juliet. On the label, Sanderijn is depicted with the knight Lanseloet.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up online. Pours clear, deep burnished gold with a frothy, mostly white head. Has a lot of meaty, wheaty character, some candi sugar, hefty yeast, a little marmalade, light bitter grass, straw. Medium bodied, lightly oily, with average carbonation. Nips of warmth in the finish, more sun-kissed wheat bread, ripening citrus. Enjoyable if a bit basic.

Bottle. A hazy, close to copper colored beer with a small white head. A bit weak aroma, with pale malts, yeast, some spiced hints and a good dash of fruityness. It's medium bodied and semi-dry, with a nice carbonation..pale malts, generic fruityness and some pine cones, yeast and pepper. Fruity finish. A decent one, but rather boring. 180602

Bottle @ home shared by TomHendriksen. Clear golden color, small to average sized white head. Smell and taste malts, a bit sweetish, somewhat yeasty, slight orangepeel hints in the distance. Meh.
