Making wildly traditional bière sometimes requires the freshest organic ingredients you can find. For The Orchard Project, a Reserve Society exclusive series of sour wit ales brewed with spices and aged in oak barrels with raspberries, we collected the freshest nectarines, plumcots and apricots we could get our hands on thanks to the farmers at Sunny Cal Farms and processed them ourselves. This is the plumcot release.

Bottle shared at Seth - cheers! Pours unclear gold with a small, bubbly white head. Quite tasty, sturdy acidity, peach, plum, melon. Light to medium bodied with spritzy carbonation. Quenching finish, tart, more tangy plum, peach, lemon. Solid.

A bottle shared with Ogi and others at Goblet Beer Store, Zagreb. Cloudy orange, minimal off-white head. Intense fruity nose, apricot, pit, zest, fresh fruit, light spices, slightly funky and goaty. Acidity nicely backing it up. Intensely sour, intense fruity flavours, apricot, pit, funky again, spicy, goaty, phenolic and some honey. Extremely puckering, light to medium body, moderate to high carbonation, prickly, lasting sour finish. Nice complexity, nice sourness.
