Dark amber; light woody hop, caramel and faint phenols in the nose. Balanced palate – wood, caramel, brown sugar, hint of grapefruit, with a finish that brings substantial maltiness so that it borders on sweetness – I should not that this is more balanced than bland.

Bought the bottle, just because it was an IPA at my local beer store that i've never seen before. Golden colour with a decent head. Smell of just about nothing, but some hop character, but not much. Taste of barely an APA to put it that way. Not much hop presence and barely a flavour. You don't really need to try this if you are looking for a beer you would WANT to drink. Aftertaste of some citrus, but not much more than that. Try again Lake Placid.

More like an APA than an IPA. Gold/slight copper in color, with a spicy hop aroma with hints of sweetness. Flavor lacks the hop character an IPA should have, but this is slightly made up for by the enjoyable malty sweetness that balances very well with what hp presence there actually is. A decent beer, but lacks anything that sets it apart from the rest.
