Draft at Woodstock Inn Brewery in North Woodstock, NH. Clear gold color. A little malty up front and a pale malt finish. Kinda non-descript. Eh.

Burnt red leather color. Almost no nose except faint hoppiness. It’s strong with a cream/ red ale mix, high bitterness, dense malt profile, faint blackberry, lots of honey. I don’t know much about this one but it’s the most memorable at least for how well melded everything is.

Not really red, more like darker iced tea. Has a slight aroma that I think is unique and somewhat astringent if that’s possible. Unique carries over to the flavors. Almost tart but its not. Yes unques all the way round. Comes across fairly mild for the 5.5 it claims to be. Pretty cool label fer sure. Like able fer sure overall.

Pours a dark reddish amber from a bottle. Nothing much going on here, either in the nose or the flavor, just a kind of yeasty maltiness. Meh.

Reviewed from notes recently found.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance had a decent looking amber to red color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about less than a minute. There was some light lacing.
The smell had a decent roasted apple of sorts gracing between some English malts.
The taste took those flavors to town and made it semi-sweet but it really felt and tasted really like a true English ESB.
On the palate, this one sat fairly light, but tried to show a semi-medium of sorts on the body. It was fairly sessionable and had a decent carbonation running about it.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good ESB worth trying. If anything, this honestly went really well with BBQ pork. Damn, what a mighty fine day that was!

Pours a clear golden garnet color with a huge fluffy off white head that slowly dissipates and laces on the way down. Smells of caramel, mineral, and a bit of earth and spice with a hint of butter. the flavor is quite malty with caramel being the dominant taste. Earth, tart, and butter provide a bit of counter to the malty sweetness, but this one really leans to the malty side. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet slick mouthfeel. A buttery malt bomb how shipyard-ish. OK for what it is, but there are better red ales out there.

Bottle on the road to Hill Farmstead, consumed somewhere in MA. Pours clear amber, lightly effervescent with a moderate, off-white foam head. Lots of toasty, sugary malts in the nose, some caramel. Medium sweet flavor, more caramel ntoes, some orange, bread, very low bitterness. Light to medium bodied with average, creamy carbonation. Sugary malt finish, creamy caramel, toast, very light pine. Pretty basic stuff.

12 ounce bottle from Nikki’s Liquors, Providence. Pours a clear amber color with a medium sized frothy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of sweet berry-like fruit with caramel malts. The taste is caramel malts, stone fruits and faint hop note. Medium bodied, slight bitterness, low carbonation. Decent.

Purchased a 12 oz bottle from Bert’s Better Beers, Hooskett, NH. Poured into a pint glass. Clear transparent amber color. Nose of light malt and butter. Taste follows nose with a lots caramel, toffee and butter. Not bad at all, but I feel this brew is very average, like the rest of Woodstock Inn brews that I have sampled. Ok, nothing to really seek out.
