Bottle thanks to Matteo. It pours cloudy mahogany brown with a medium dirty beige head. The aroma is rich, soft, sweet, juicy, dried fruits, fruit cake, wood, dried berry, toffee, honeycomb and some wine. The taste is smooth, rich, sweet, vinous, sherry, dried berry, warming alcohol, wood, leather and a hint of spice with a dry, woody finish. Medium+ body and fine carbonation. Interesting and quaffable.

Bottle split at Level 42, thanks to Matteo, 16/08/16. Hazed mahogany brown with a decent beige cap. Nose is nutty, toffee, spice, barrel, apple orchard, toasted brown sugars. Taste comprises toffee, fruit loaf, spice, biscuit, oak, sherry notes. Medium + body, fine carbonation, light warming alcohol in the close. Decent for the style ... nice juan.

Keg at the brewery. Pours unclear brownish chestnut with a creamy, yellowy tan head. The aroma holds leathery berries, light toasted wood and toffee, slight funk. Medium sweet flavour with more toffee notes, impressions of cocoa, dates and figs, light earth. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. A little chewy. Warming on the finish, with some piney bitterness, more aged, leathery berries, earth, toasted caramel, orange peel. Good stuff on the whole.

Keg at the brewery. A hazed reddy nutty brown coloured pour with a lasting thin beige head. Aroma is tangy sour grapes, musty, woody, little lacto. Flavour is composed of semi sweet nutty toasted grains, little caramel, tangy grapes, musty, sour, drying woody tannin. Little alcohol bite in the finish. Palate is medium bodied, semi sweet, spritzy carbonation. Super dry finish. Good.
