750mL bottle shared by AirForceHops on 3/26/16.
Fantastic appearance. We opened the bottle Saturday and I was still drinking this thing I think by the following Thursday with the bottle sitting out, uncapped, warm. It still poured a solid tan head, with an ebony body and strong retention.
Warm oatmeal cookies backed by a good brace of bitter chocolate, dry coffee and light prunes. Very complex, with caramel-vanilla in the background, balancing the varied grains, chocolates, fudges, roasts and fruits. Definitely a kitchen sink beer, but it’s not messy or unfocused. Very clean, in fact, with fresh yeast and plaster-like notes on the end, as well.
As expected, a complex, roasty, yet malty body with vanilla, oatmeal, cookies, bitter chocolate and soft fudge. Toffee and treacle help balance the sweetness. Wonderful texture, nicely malty, with very tight, natural carbonation and no alcohol or flaw.

750 ml bottle, purchased at the brewery. Pitch black with full lasting head. Aroma has cocoa powders, notes of coffee and cream. Dry roasted malt.
The flavor has a large backbone of earthy chocolate malts with a dry roasted malt texture. The body feels bigger then the gravity may suggest. This was the 2015 edition and bottled in July of that year, so no hops exist. The coffee and cram note are also found through the sip. This is very nicely made.

dark brown to black, 4 finger very persistent coffee colored head, is this bottle conditioned? Smells nice, roasty, a little vanilla and cream. a lot of roasted notes, a bit of coffee, has some mulch here and a bitter finish. it’s a solid porter.
