Growler thanks to T.J. Pours an opaque brown with thick, lasting head, great retention. Aroma is fairly sweet, banana, with a fruity, caramel and maybe nuts.

Good amount of yeast showing plenty of banana. Notes of dark fruits. Moderate carbonation, medium body, and smooth texture, never becomes too sweet. Yeast and malt is balanced out really well. This is really nice and spot on style.

Poured from growler mahogany color with a nice mocha head. Aromas of wheat bananna and chocolate. Taste is caramel bananna and dark fruit. Nice.

Nearly black, it’s dark with just a little bit of red. The aroma is fantastic. Loads of fig, prune, raisin. A very light roast here especially at the finish, I do get this chocolate mostly unsweetened taste long after the finish. Certainly some dark fruits, here, a little bit of roast. very thin...it is as it should be...yes seriously.

Draught at the brewery, 2/13/16.
Quite dark for a dunkelweizen, though not peculiarly so. Medium mahogany, with some darker cola brown tones and a beige head that shows moderate retention.
Banana, cream-of-wheat and vanilla all seem fairly reserved in the nose. Doesn’t beat you down with esters, which is nice, nor is there any surplus of bubble gum or clove. Bready, lightly caramel-tinged malts behind it are decidedly less decadent than many of the maltier examples, though certainly stand up for themselves. Light chocolate, earth, and just a touch of roast and light clove lingering on the end.
Very dry, yet not undermalted. Kind of like Hacker Pschor’s dunkel weisse in the sense that it’s not sumptuously malty, but rather quite drinkable. This one is far less watery than that, however, with less wheat dullness and much more heavy on the dark malt aspects, providing very dry coffee and moderate chocolate. Banana and vanilla sit on the end, lightening things somewhat. No alcohol or flaws noted. Good stuff and well-done to-style (though could definitely be a little more soft/supple in texture).
