Keg at Piwpaw Beer Heaven, Warsaw, 06/04/17. Light black with a decent tan head. Nose is smoke, dark malts, spice, dark chocolate. Taste comprises peated malts, light chemical tang, chocolate, black peppery spice, tangy dark fruits. Medium plus body, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok if a touch disjointed.

Sampled draft @ PiwPaw - Beer Heaven. Black, creamy tanned head. Dunno why but nose is bit peated, soy sauce, varnish mocha. Taste is soy sauce, molasses, chocolate, herbal, vaguely peated, big umami. Umami roast body. Not what you would expect from the style but nice even if weird.

Draft sample @ PiwPaw. Apparently using whiksy barrels. 7.2% abv. Brune foncée, col moka. Arôme petite touche de nail polish avec rétro de tourbe, malté léger en rétro sur pâle et caramel. Palais est d’office centré sur un apport tourbé, malt en retrait avec une douceur persistante de caramel et encore cette effet adouci rappelant le mélanoid. Pointe houblonnée amer arrive en retrait, petite note aigrelette fruité noire en fin de bouche.

Keg at Beer Heaven - Warsaw. Pours rich black-brown with a creamy, tan head. The nose is vaguely smokey, with hints of cocoa, old dark fruits. Light sweet flavour, dry and woody, with bitter cocoa. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Dry finish, more woody dryness, faint tangy dried berries, smoke. So so.

TAP at Same Crafty, Warsaw. Peated chocolate Bourbon nose. The taste is salty chocolate, roasty grassy hop spicy cocktail, smooth with a nice Bourbon touch. Very good.
