On tap at the brewpub Pours a deep amber color with a decent head and retention. Finally some hops. Smells of citrus and grapefruit with a bit of an earthy undercurrent. Taste is citrus, bread, earth. Well balanced pale ale with a decent taste. Thinnish body with a bitter resinous mouthfeel and a watery mouthfeel. Decent pale

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pored a clear gold with an amber hue and an off-white head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma had notes of pine and rich bread with a bit of backing grapefruit. Flavor began with pine and was joined by a nice grapefruit note and was backed by rich bread throughout. A real nice beer.

A hazy dark amber ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, classy c-hops, biscuitty malt, nice and pungeant. In mouth, a nice malty pale ale with light floral hops, grapefruits, good. Medium bodied. On tap at brewpub, August 2 2009.

Light golden coloured body with orange tints and no head at all to speak of. Aroma of fresh hops, light malt and some citrus flavours. Light to Medium-bodied; Assertive hoppiness up front with some sweetness following, but not much. Aftertaste shows the hop bitterness, which is pretty nice to the palate. Overall, a decent pale - a bit better than the average brewpub. I sampled this beer on draught from the brewpub in Bennington, Vermont on 23-October-2005.
