Draft @ brewpub. Guess the color? Yep, it sure is amber. Nose is ok, toasted grain and caramel that is expected for the style. Taste could use some help, just standard caramel and super thin watery body. The roasted grain is drowned in the watery texture. Maybe doubling the malt or adding some type of light hop profile would improve this. Still drinkable, no big problems.

Blood orange appearance. Crystal malts and honey. Bready and sweet nose. Almost a creamy taste. Maltiness isn’t smooth. It’s almost astringent. Not much to really say about this one

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a hazy tan-brown color wtih a large foamy off white head that left exceptional lacing. The aroma was sweet honey, bread, caramel and faint golden fruits. The flavor was dryish and nutty with a bit of caramel and coffee. Medium length nut and coffee finish. Medium body. Eh.

On tap at the station. When I had this, I thought it said appilation amber, could have been wrong. Has a lot of alky impact but not like 8% would indicate. Dark iced tea color. Leathery but lite in body in the palate. Very little aroma. Finish is not bad for such a high alky brew. If this is really an 8% beer, it hides its alky well.

Draught at the brewpub. Vinous aroma, some wine gum. Cloudy brown colour. The flavour starts off vinous as well. Gets a little sweet with some spice, perhaps mild aniseed. Slightly medicinal.
