330ml squat bottle. Pours a thin black with dark brown edges and a small tan head. Aroma is dark roast malts and some semi sweet chocolate. Beer is slightly thin, medium bitter and off dry with the slightly sweet chocolate flavours over burnt malts.
OK but a bit thin and the mix of bitter & sweet doesn't work for me. Not a stout I'd buy again.

Bottle pour at the The Belgian Brewers' Bash in Washington DC. Poured more of a dark cola color than a pitch black color. Medium-sized light tan head. Aroma was some chocolate, roasted coffee, chocolate malts. Flavor was chocolate, roast. Very refreshing.

Trembling Madness sent this by mistake instead of a Kernel ! Bottled, 3rd October 2021. Pours a dark brown, really fizzy. Aroma is candy, malts. Taste is messy, thin, malty water, sweet, not very good, chucked it in a beef stew for a pie.

28 May 2021. At Maarten's birthday party - cheers to all! Hazy black, frothy, beige head. Aroma of prune, blackcurrant, toast, jam, sweetened fondant, chocolate powder. Taste has sweetish prune, fig, pear, sour blackberries over a toasty malty body, bit nutty, old chooclate accent and spices. Herbal hoppy finish, ethereal almost, lingering toast, prune, earthy chicory, bit dry-metallic. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Kind of misses the point.

5 % Version. Bottle. Black with a nice enough beige head. Aroma of mild malts and a little bit of chocolate. Taste is mokka, malts and some chocolate cookies with roasty bitterness. Low to medium carbonation. Thin mouthfeel. Ok but they can do better.
