Clear metallic copper beer; small off-white rim. Rainwater, parsley, lightly (!) coloured malts. Mainly sweet, sweet & coloured malts. Retronasal strawberry and other fruit. Sweetness gets stronger warming up, bit leafy. Aftertaste has a whiff of nutmeg. Undercarbonated, certainly by view, but in the mouth there is a slight carbonation to be felt. Light to medium bodied, slick. Certainly OK, but not very exhilarating; it's described as "not classic" but it tastes mainstream, I'm afraid.

Thxn for sharin, Tim, Wim, And Eugene ! Pours clear amber, small white head. Smell is bit herbal, mild alcohol, some roast. Taste is rather bitter, grainy ( amber touch, mild toast ) aromatic malts. Rather bitter, sharp. Not really hoppy. Too high carbo.

Another new Leste, at tderoeck’s Belgian ticks tasting in Ghent. Cobweb-lacing, off-white, moussy, very stable head over a hazy peach blonde beer with amberish hue. Aroma of banana, cooked carrots, young ’jenever’, coriander seed, old potatoes, soap, peanuts, cloves and a lot of DMS (overcooked cauliflower). Fruity onset, peach, some banana, red apple, medium carbo, supple and rather soapy mouthfeel. Bready and bit caramelly malt sweet body, lots of spicy, clove-like phenols, earthy hop touch, earthy yeastiness as well (rooty and bready), some light coriander, touch of warming alcohol. Classically conceived Belgian tripel - nothing wrong with it apart from that off-putting DMS, but not really ’amber’ as well, if you are going to call the Wallonian ’ambr?e’ concept an ’amber tripel’ anyway...

21/VII/17 - 33cl bottle @ Belgian Ticks Tasting (home) - BB: XI/2018 (2017-1081) Thanks to kraddel for sharing the bottle!
Clear amber beer, big creamy irregular white head, unstable, dissipates quickly. Aroma: sweet, banana, sugary, yeast, bit chemical. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: little bitter, very yeasty, soft bitterness, bit spicy. Aftertaste: lots of overripe banana, sweet, slightly sourish.

Thank you kraddel! 330 ml. bottle sampled @ “Belgian Ticks Tasting Ghent”. BBF NOV 2018. Amber indeed, amber orange, off-white head. Nose is band-aid, painfully chemical, poor, esters,… Taste is chemical band-aid, harsh industrial, rubbing alcohol, plastic,… Body is rubbing alcohol, chemical,.. Unpleasant, another unpleasant to me BE tripel.
