Hazy pale golden colour; huge frothy white to off-white head, slowly collapsing, good lacing. Aroma pale malts, yeast, lemon, orange, mango, apricot, coriander and cloves notes. Taste light heavy to medium sweet and light bitter, malty, fruity, yeasty. Sweetbitter aftertaste, fruity, yeasty, light spicy notes. Medium body, creamy texture, lively carbonation, bit overcarbonated and quite yeasty, but a nice fruity and 'summerly' blond, certainly not an IPA.

Seasonal beer from Leysen, with "meivuur inside" but still intended for summer rather than the month of May. Thick, coarse, egg-white, bubbly head, hazy golden robe with greenish hue. Aroma of bubblegum, banana, soap, baking powder, honey, pear drop, shortbread, honey, dough, lemon peel. Estery onset, banana bubblegum, some pear and pineapple notes, sweet with medium carbo and soapy mouthfeel; slick bready malt sweet core, honeyish effect due to (too much) residual sugars, mildly bitterish finish, floral with a light spicy touch, bit earthy, disturbed by some redundant Belgian phenols. Stereotypical Belgian ’terrasjesblond’ once again, has nothing to do with IPA by far - not even a truly ’hoppy Belgian blonde’ if you ask me so conceptually clearly a failure, but at least technically okay, I had worse Belgian blondes than this.

21/VII/17 - 33cl bottle from Willems (Grobbendonk), shared @ Belgian Ticks Tasting (home) - BB: 15/V/19 (2017-1075)
Clear pale blond beer, creamy yellowish head, pretty stable, non adhesive. Aroma: sweet, honey, malty, cow fodder, little fruity, hint of mango and oranges. MF: lively carbon, medium to light body. Taste: sweet start, some citrus, little fruity, hoppy touch. Aftertaste: sweet and sugary, honey, fruity, slightly bitter, some grapefruit. Way too sweet and by no means could this be classified as an ipa.

Thank you tderoeck! 330 ml. bottle sampled @ “Belgian Ticks Tasting Ghent”. Very highly sparkling golden, solid white bubbles. Nose is WTF? Super chemical, fizzy poor cleaning & washing products. Taste is chemical plastic, rubbish, all fizzy, chemical, too carbonated, rubbish industrial chemical,… Quite unpleasant top 5 worst IPA out of 800+ so far, quite impressive in that aspect, another paint BE stab at USA styled brewing.

Pours clear blonde, small white head. Smell is yeasty, dry spices, some sugar. Taste is overly carbonated, cloves. Some spices ( pepper ) not too great.

Bottle @ home. Hazy orange golden color, medium sized white to off-white head that lasts for a short while. Aroma is lightly malts, a bit yeasty. Flavor is the same. I had a wonderful Abbey Dubbel from this brewery so I hoped this would also be nice. While I find this ok and drinkable enough, it’s much more a Belgian Blonde Ale than a hoppy blonde. Too bad.
