Dark and tasty. This very complex beer contains a lot of different cereals. Still, it's very clean and easy to drink. The exotic flavours coming from the hop are balanced with the black pepper and the speculoos spices. As aftertaste, you'll feel the red wine oak casks with a slight sourness... Give it a try!

Yet another of these countless BS beers with exotic spicing, shared by 77ships, thanks. Moussy, lightly lacing, pale beige-hued head, hazy dark burgundy brownish robe. Aroma of gravy, soaked peppercorns, treacle, toasted bread, bitter cinnamon, hazelnuts, dried porcini. Sweetish onset, fig, gravy- and beef stock-like umami presence, caramelly malt body, nutty edges with that gravy-like flavour running through the whole - probably linked to soaked peppercorns of some or other kind, as in some other of BS’s beers; herbal bitterishness in the end, spicy accent but low in the promised red wine and / or oak cask character. Weird concoction, a bit bizarre and unbalanced like many of these Beerstormings, could do with less of that beefy umami and more wine cask tartness, I think, but drinkable alright. The announced ’speculoos’ effect, however, is not really there.

500 ml. bottle shared - “Late night” tasting @ home. Sampled. Purchased at brewery. Dark amber brown, big mocha head. Nose is rubbish overly sweet malt, soap, chemical, spoiled dark fruits,… Taste is rotting fruit, chemical, unpleasant malt & soap mess, little carbonation,… Glue, thick spoiled fruit & plastic body. Quite a mess, I really need to stop with these.

Clear dark brown beer, very big creamy off-white to beige head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: liquorish, alcohol, dried fruits, some chocolate, alcohol, caramel. MF: very lively carbon, medium body. Taste: bit sourish, pretty bitter, some coffee, alcohol, hoppy, pretty sourish, roasted. Aftertaste: more coffee, spices, bit yeasty. One of the better BS's so far...

Pours Nearly black, bit darker , rather big but very unstable white head. Smell is straight off. Very plasticy, bad yeastyness, very very off. mild pepper notes in the back. Taste is bit bitter, less plastic, but still quite a bit. Spices are not belnded in at all, giving a powdery feel to the wholeness of the beer. pepper is in the back, doesn’t fit the other tastes. Not very good.
