Trafalgar Paddys Irish Red

Rather simplistic look to it with barely any head. Soft malt character with a vague hint of hops on the back end. Easy to drink but hard to remember.

Taste of bitter hops, though colour isn’t too red necessarily. Enjoyable and certainly drinkable, if not remarkable. Tall can in Toronto

Canette 473ml. De couleur ambrée-dorée et claire. Nez de grains de malt pâle, moyen-léger de houblon herbeux, floral et aux faibles traces citriques ainsi qu’avec des notes fruitées (agrumes) et de traces de caramel rôti. Moyenne-mince en bouche avec un pétillement moyen et une texture moyennement crémeuse. Faibles notes fruitées (agrumes) accompagné d’une légère amertume de houblon herbeux (herbes fraîches, une amertume présente en arrière-goût toute la gorgée) lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute rapidement un goût de grains de malt pâle légèrement sucrés et aux petites notes rôties ainsi que des notes de caramel. Parallèlement l’amertume de houblon s’intensifie pour dominer (moyenne amertume) en finale en étant plus florale et asséchante. L’on retrouve également de faibles notes métalliques en finale. Post-goût moyen et plutôt sec, moyennement amer de houblon herbeux et floral avec de faibles traces fruitées (zest d’agrumes).

Can: Poured a clear medium amber color ale with a medium foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry unrefined grain is somewhat bland. Taste is also dominated by dry unrefined cereal taste with no discernible hops and not that great of a drinkability factor. Very bland average for style and though there is no brewing flaws there is nothing too spectacular to speak of.

Reddish brown,lasting tan head.Tiny bead. Pleasant malt nose.Creamy lightly toasted malt flavor. Good Belgian lace.

Nut brown. Some flowery hop aroma. Lightly soapy mouthfeel, some crystal malt flavour. Smooth with low bitterness.

Has a hit of toasted malts to provide a respectably bitter backbone.........
