Lervig’s Pilsner is brewed according to the German Reinheitsgebot of 1516, solely with malts, hops, water and yeast as ingredients. The recipe is specially developed for the palates of the people of Rogaland county, and chosen by them. We may therefore say that Lervig’s Pilsner is the people’s favorite beer.

Can. (3 weeks past BB date) Pale golden with some white head. Hay and grain in the aroma, along with some maltiness. Thin body and mostly grainy flavor with very little hoppiness. It’s retired, and it won’t be missed. (060224)

Chosen among 4 alternatives by the visitors of a tasting at Gladmatfestivalen (food festival) in Stavanger, this beer is proof that the general public in Norway prefer beers that don’t taste of much. Nothing offensive about it; it’s just another fizzy, straw coloured, uninteresting pilsener with too little of everything.
