Bottle, RBESG 2005, Grand Tasting. Lovely hefe aroma (cloves, bananas) with a substantial contribution made by elderflowers. Flavour is again hefe with elderflowers. A quite nice beer this one!

(Bottle 50 cl) Hazy, pale golden with a small, white head. Yeasty nose. Dry and light-bodied with pronounced notes of elderflowers. Not a great wheat beer. 120805

Lactic dry aroma, almost like a Riesling, slightly citric. Pale straw, nice creamy head. Fruity, spicy, elderflowers exident, yeasty a tad soapy notes. Light body.

A hazy light yellow beer with a fine whitehead. The aroma is sweet wheaty with notes of coriander and so is the flavor, while the body is thin.

Draught at GlenfiddichWarehouse 68, Stockholm. Cloudy yellow, firm head. When cold the nose is citric and yeasty, but as it warmsthe elderflowers are revealed. Light bodied and very lively with sparkling mouthfeel. Freshly poured it is like drinking a cloud. Low on esters, and ittakes a little while for the elderflowers to be revealed, except that perhaps that herbal bitterness in the short finish can be derived to them. A much less direct beer than the flavourful beers usually offered by Närke Kulturbryggeri. This one is more of a thirst quencher, and less of a flavuor bomb, and as such much harder to rate. I do however think that this year’s version is better than last summer’s.
Old Rating (Jul 28, 2004)- bottled. Hazy golden, small creamy head. Fruity elderflower aroma. Sweet and soft with some banana. Light and honeyish. Perhaps a bit sweet and mellow. 6/4/6/2/10
