Opaque black color, decent sized brown colored head. Smell and taste malts, sweetish a bit to my surprise, coffee nicely though softly as in not overpowering at all, although it brings a certain bitter finish along which -I must say- I think mixes pretty well with the malty (bitter) base. Medium to full body, oily texture, suitable soft to average carbonation. Yeah I must say I really like this one. Very nice imo. 8-4-8-5-17.

Bottle at home. Pours black with some short lived head. Aroma is dark malts, coffee, chocolate. Somewhat fruity and fresh. Medium body - surprisingly light for the style. Flavour is dominated by the Ethiopian coffee which is showcased beautifully as the beer is malty sweet but generally light and drinkable, thereby really giving the coffee the space to shine. Fruity somewhat acidic roasty coffee flavours. Quite bitter. Some spices and herbal notes. Finishes bittersweet with a long lingering espresso flavour. Beautifully done.

0,33l bottle at home bought L'Abbeye des Saveurs, Lille (2 weeks ago). BB 02/2019. black color, small coffee colored head. smells earthy, nutty, hazelnuts, bit milky, light espresso, some bitter chocolate. nice smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes earthy, peppery, spices, ashy, charcoal, burnt espresso. finishes rather roasty bitter with notes of ash, charcoal and spices. nice, but also rather ashy and bitter, balance is not that great.

Pitch black, tall frothy tan head, collapsing slowly to a thin creamy layer, fair lacing. Aroma roasted malts, chocolate, coffee. Smooth taste, light heavy sweet and medium bitter, roasted malts, dark chcolate, espresso, earthy notes. Lingering roasty sweetbitter aftertaste, chocolate, coffee. Full-bodied, oily to creamy texture, soft carbonation, alcohol well-hidden, rich and elegant, excellent brew.

Thank you! Tasting glass @ Hoppy Loft. Dark brown, little tanned bubbles. Nose is overly herbal earthly coffee, cacao, mocha, vegetable roast. Taste is cacao, mocha, earthly, bitter herbs, chocolate, roast, mocha, too basic, vegetable, chicory. Lacks body for what it is. Okay.
