Draft tasting glass @ Beerlovers Bar. Hazy orange, creamy solid white head. Nose is cheesy plastic, nice fruity hop, overly thick USA yeast, weird bitter weeds. Plastic DIPA taste, cheese, pepper, pleasant cheese hops, weird bitter weeds finish,... Body is plastic & cheese. Not the best of DIPA’s but better than the 2 saison’s I tried from this brewery prior to this one.

At Burial tap takeover at Beerlovers Bar in Antwerp. Very thick, sticky, snow white, irregular head over a hazy golden beer with warm ’old gold’ hue and fine strings of fizz. Aroma of pink grapefruit, pine resin, subtle dank ’hops urine’, fermenting mango flesh, mandarin, freshly baked biscuit, gin, apricot, sweet pearl onions, lime juice, tropical flowers. Fruity onset of mango, tangerine and light lime impressions followed by a lot of granadilla-like flavor, refined fizz, oily mouthfeel; soft biscuity maltiness, cereally, but not too thick or sweet, hint of freshly baked white bread underneath a wave of spicy, aromatic, citrusy and piney hoppiness, softly but ’broadly’ bittering, with some pineapple and yellow kiwi fruitiness to it; heating, gin-like alcohol all the way at the back, a tad too much so for my liking especially in this style. Could have been a bit more generous in both maltiness and hoppiness, but the flavors as such are refined and well-matched against each other, with no technical flaws or unbalances whatsoever. Nice to have this fresh from tap, too.
