750 ml bottle. Deep amber body with a huge, lasting tan head. Mild, but nice aroma of roasted malt, liquorices, chocolate and a bit spicy. Flavor is as aroma, moderate bitter, fruity and smooth. I nice Guinness killer!

Flaske 0,75l batch 36. Spandert av Rune på romjuls-sammenkomst 28.12.10. Svart. Lysebrunt skum. God aroma med sjokolade i forgrunnen. Fruktig smak. Avrundet. Litt røstethet. Et hyggelig bekjentskap med et nytt bryggeri.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of yngwie. Pours an opaque dark brown - cose to black - with a vague reddish hue and a light brown head. Some hard roast in the nose. Medium body, hard roast malts and a little vanilla and sweet licorice. A little malt astringency in the finish. Very decent. 290111

Tap @ Naboen, Bergen. Pours a dark brown, almost black body with a big, beige, lasting, creamy nitro-head. Nose is liquorish, chocolate, almost nutty and some mocca. I first get strongly roasted malts and lots of chocolate, then in end it unfortunate falls a bit through and get a almost wattery finish. This is typically a dry stout - only a bit better. Medium to thin bodied, quite low carbonation. Lots of roasted malts and a medium hopy, almost sweet and silky ending. I definitely want more of this!

750ml bottle, brygg nr. 36, from Fenaknoken in Oslo. Deep oily pour revealing a beige-brownish, patchy surface to a jet black body. Roasted aroma of earthy malts with hints of chocolate. Roasted malts and ashy hops in flavour. Velvetly smooth on the swallow. Well made. Enjoyed at a romjuls party in Tromsø, 28.12.2010.

Rerate, 750 ml bottle, courtesy of the brewer. Black colour, big and lasting brown head. Roasty aroma, notes of coffee and liquorice, hints of dark chocolate. The flavour is also roasty (yes, I admit this is a dry stout rather than a dark mild), with a distinct bitter coffee aftertaste. I’m upping it a point . Original rating: Cask / hand pump at Nabokjelleren, Bergen. Black colour, moderate tan head. Pleasant aroma of dark malts, hints of liquorice, fruity and vinous notes. Moderately roasty flavour, some fruity and slightly acidic notes in the background, coffee in the aftertaste. More of a dark mild than a dry stout in my book.
