Ooopf you get that agave sweet hit right on the first whiff. Black Treacle creeps out the dark malts to contribute to the aroma. This beer drinks silky smooth and syrupy but its not to be mistaken for a soft or sickly stout! Although agave sweetness carries through in each sip, the grain-bill keeps the balance with a dry and roasty undertone. Somewhere there is a little kick of licorice. As you drink on, the touch of chilli and light heat is kindled and completes the Mexicana essence to this complex and beautiful beer.

Cask at Ealing Beer Festival 2017, Ealing, London. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Roasty, malty, chocolate aroma. Tastes similar, roasty, malty, chocolate, coffee. Rich tasting imperial stout but not picking up much chilli in this one.

Thank you for sharing Antwerp Untappd Crew! Sampled draft @ Swafff 2017! The label & name would have been brilliant without the Trump connotation, just the Pink Floyd connection would have been perfect, that might be just me. Black, deep mocha. Nose is basic chocolate, cacao, chocolate, umami, syrup,... Taste is cacao, chocolate, mocha, basic coffee, licorice, coffee, mocha,... Basic chocolate, cacao mocha body,... Very low chili, not really getting the chili. Basic decent umami stout but I hoped for more.

Bottleshare at Chez Smith. Opaque dark brown beer, good tan head. Palate is airy and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts, a little sweet and with some dark chocolate. Tangy tequila vibe. Some chilli spice. Ripe fruits. Light dry finish. Maybe could slung this in a tequila barrel for awhile.

Bottle shared in London / many thanks to Kenneth. Pours oily black with a small, foamy brown cap. Ample dark malts aroma, with light cocoa, dried berries, coffee grounds. Medium to big sweet flavour with lightly syrupy burnt sugars, some subtly tangy dark citrus, berries, scorched earth bitterness, plum. Medium to full bodied, lightly chewy, with fine carboantion. Warming finish with notes of sticky toasted sugars, some bittersweet dark chocolate, ripening berries. Very good overall.

660ml bottle from Rich, shared at the Burning Soul Brewery tasting session on 28th May 2017. Murky dark brown pour, dark beige head. Strange one really, aroma was malty and slightly smoky: the taste sweeter than the nose intimated, still had a smoky feel, liquorice flavours arrive late in the mouth. Decent.
